The
Eight Great Tortoises (Vol. 1: Tortoises of the World) 1996.
by Richard Cary Paul. Very good, solid information from an author with
extensive experience with tortoises. This book details the care and requirements
for keeping and breeding the largest tortoises on Earth. Perfect for zoos
and private breeders with the space for these fascinating giants. I spoke
with the author in Orlando one year --a most authoritative author, as he
keeps all the species of tortoises!
All
The Small & Medium-Sized Tortoises (Vol. 2: Tortoises of the World)
by Richard Cary Paul. 1997. This book is invaluable for the vast majority
of tortoise-keepers, as it describes the requirements for the tortoises
that are of a more manageable size! Revised and expanded edition, 214 pages.
One of the most popular titles on the subject. While not a technical monograph,
the information is useful and practical. Recommended.
The Aldabran Tortoise Expert's Guide by Richard Cary Paull. 1999.
New! The Galapagos Tortoise Expert's Guide (special color ed.) by Richard Cary Paull. 1999.
