  Same male, age 61 mo, Sep 2007, 263 g.  Color development in previously shaded zone (right flap detached) is now well advanced 15 mo after sun exposure was started by removing transmitter cap.

Fig. 9D.  Same male, age 73 mo, 325 g, Sep 2008.  No color difference discernable between previously shaded zone and surrounding carapace 27 mo after shaded zone began to receive sun.
